Care for and prepare the linens used in our liturgies by laundering and preparing sacristy linens, priests' albs and alter-server gowns.

Typical Commitment: Approximately two hours per month.

Children in Grade 4 and older are invited to assist the priest and deacon during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Training is provided.

Help prepare and beautify our worship space throughout the liturgical year. This ministry is a wonderful fit for those who enjoy decorating, arranging, gardening or working creatively behind the scenes.

Help prepare for and assist with parish Baptism celebrations by setting out towels, candles and other needed items, assisting the priest as needed during the celebration, and helping tidy afterward.

Serve the worshipping community by assisting with the reverent distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. Formation and training are provided for those entering this ministry.

Funeral Mass Servers
Adult altar servers assist the priest during Funeral Masses, offering a quiet and prayerful service to families at an important time of remembrance and Christian hope.

Be a welcoming first point of contact for parishioners and visitors. Volunteers assist with parish registration, Mass intention requests, general information, missals and the sale of religious articles. Training is provided.

Proclaim the Word of God at Mass and help the assembly listen prayerfully to Sacred Scripture. Adults and youth in Grade 7 and older are invited to serve, with training provided before beginning this ministry.

Music is an important part of the prayer and worship of our parish community. Through song and instrumental music, our Music Ministries help lead the congregation in prayer and enrich the celebration of the Mass and other liturgies throughout the year.

St. Bonaventure is blessed with several different choirs and music groups, each with its own style, schedule and community. Serve behind the scenes by preparing the church, sacred vessels, liturgical books and other items needed for the celebration of Mass, and helping ensure everything is properly cared for afterwards.

Help create a welcoming and prayerful environment at Mass by greeting parishioners, assisting with seating and the Communion procession, helping those with special needs and supporting the orderly flow of the liturgy. Ushers also assist with the collection and other practical needs during Mass.
