1. Express Your Interest
Complete our Ministry Interest Form and let us know where you would like to serve.
2. We’ll Connect With You
The Volunteer Ministry Coordinator or the coordinator of the specific ministry you're interested in will be in touch to welcome you and answer any questions.
3. Complete Your Requirements
If screening or training is required for your ministry, you will receive clear instructions outlining exactly what you need to complete.
4. Begin Serving!
Once the necessary requirements are complete, you’ll be ready to begin serving with your ministry team.
St. Bonaventure Parish follows the volunteer screening and Safe Environment requirements established by the Diocese of Calgary.
All volunteers serving in person at the parish complete Safe Environment training. This training may be completed online through Praesidium Academy, the training platform used by the Diocese, or by attending one of the in-person training sessions offered at St. Bonaventure Parish throughout the year.
Some ministries have additional requirements. Volunteers serving with children, youth or vulnerable adults also require a Police Information Check and any additional screening or training required for their ministry.
There is no need to complete anything in advance. Once you have expressed interest in a ministry, the Volunteer Ministry Coordinator will send you the specific forms, training options and instructions required for your role.
