ROOTED: A Path for Teens is a welcoming sacramental preparation pathway for young people in Grades 7–12.

Whether a teen is preparing for Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation, ROOTED meets them where they are and helps them take the next step in their journey of faith.

But ROOTED is about more than completing a class.

Our hope is that teens will discover why faith matters, encounter Jesus Christ, understand the beauty of the sacraments, ask honest questions, build friendships, and begin to see the Church as a community where they truly belong.

ROOTED runs alongside our Ablaze Youth Nights on Friday evenings. Teens will participate in age-appropriate catechesis and sacramental preparation while also becoming part of the wider youth community at St. Bonaventure Parish.

Because every teen's story is different, preparation will be tailored to where they are currently in their sacramental journey. Some teens may begin at the very beginning; others may simply need preparation for a sacrament they missed.

There is no need to feel behind. There is a place for you here.

ROOTED may be right for your teen if they:

• are in Grades 7–12
• have never been baptized
• were baptized but missed First Reconciliation or First Communion
• have received First Communion but have not yet been Confirmed
• are returning to the Catholic Church after time away
• are exploring becoming Catholic for the first time
• simply aren't sure where they fit and would like to talk with someone
